new year, scans clear  🥳

WEDNESDAY DEC 31, 2025

Some exciting news to share as the new year approaches - my CT scans are looking good, and no more treatment is imminent!

The plan now is to focus on rebuilding strength, energy, and health - and hopefully return to a more normal life in 26!

As the year comes to a close, I am doing ok - energy is starting to come back,  I have a lil fuzz on my head now (like a baby lol) and I can see signs things are returning to normal.

The hat fashion, on the other hand, has continued to be absolutely exceptional:

There are also a few hat mysteries that I would love to solve - ie. hats/gifts that I received but don’t know who sent them.

If you sent any of the following hats or gifts, or know who sent them - please let me know!

A less-fun mystery is that I have unfortunately had lingering GI issues since chemo that have not yet responded to treatment. I will hopefully get some clarity on what is going on soon with the help of a specialist, but most likely it will take time for this very un-fun case to be solved.

Even with some symptoms lingering, I am starting to look past my treatment phase and am making plans to restart normal life again in the new year.

I am planning to move back to the Bay Area in January, and will start to return to a normal schedule / life once my partner and I are settled there in a few weeks.

Planning the move has felt hopeful and exciting - a chance to restart, and hopefully put this treatment fully in the rearview 🙌.

Here's hoping the new year brings renewed health, rest, and joy - and maybe even a time where Matt does not need a hat?!? Who knows!

To new beginnings in ‘26 -

💜 matt
