🎃 Hat-O-ween Season Approaches 🧙🏻

FRIDAY OCTOBER 24, 2025

This Friday marks the end of my second cycle of chemo, which is fabulous progress!

My treatment continues to go as expected, with some anticipated side effects but no major road bumps.

Looking ahead - next week will be a big milestone for many reasons:

it's the start of cycle 3, it's a full-on treatment week, and it's also the beginning of 🎃 Hat-O-Ween 🧙🏻.

What is 🎃 Hat-O-Ween 🧙🏻 you ask?

Well, as many know, 🎃 Hat-O-Ween 🧙🏻 is a week-long holiday that I made up just now in order to celebrate the most over-the-top and outrageous pieces of headwear I’ve received so far.

I’ll be wearing your most unhinged hat selections to my daily treatments as a celebration of the season.

Here is a preview of some of the hat costumes / looks that folks may see about the treatment center during the upcoming holiday week:

ABOVE: a lil sampler of the many wild hats recieved that just feel perfect for Hat-O-Ween

And while perhaps only sightly less outrageous, I’ve also been appreciating the more everyday hats that have been arriving too - from colorful bucket hats to wild winter hats to vintage brewers hats and more - here’s a little sample of a few recent maximalist arrivals I’ve been wearing out and about:

As you can see, the hat fashion has been top notch and I’m feeling a ton of support as this second cycle comes to a close.

I am so grateful for the messages and hats y’all have been sending - it brings me a lot of joy to get to pick from so many fun options everyday of this journey.

After six weeks of treatment, I am feeling both fully accustomed to the ins-and-outs of the chemo routine and also fully ready to be done with it.

I still have a couple of tough weeks ahead, but the good news it that once I get through the next two weeks I’ll basically be 90% of the way there and can (hopefully) start to look ahead to an uneventful recovery!

Wish me luck, stay tuned for more hat updates, and  a happy 🎃 Hat-O-Ween 🧙🏻 to all those who celebrate !
